Macro Photography on a Budget

So, you like the idea of doing macro photography, but you think you can’t afford it? Think again – with less than £1 worth of equipment, a little bit of sweat and tears (and blood, if you, like me, are a bit on the clumsy side), and you can build yourself a surprisingly good macro lens. Don’t believe me? Well, have a look at the article, and think again!

Interesting use for a cheap Canon lens and a Pringles can. :)

Color Photos taken 96 years ago!

Color film was non-existent in 1909 Russia, yet in that year a photographer named Sergei Mikhailovich Prokudin-Gorskii captured hundreds of photos in full, vivid color. His photographic plates were black and white, but he had developed an ingenious photographic technique which allowed him to use them to produce accurate color images.

I sure I’ve seen these some time ago, but this time I’ve blogged it. ;)
Very cool stuff. Always strange seeing very old photos in colour.
