Mobile Call Back Scam in the Media

The guys at 4WiseMonkeys recently got some media coverage for the scam in a Queensland local paper ‘The Courier-Mail‘. Hopefully is the start to some decent media coverage for the annoying phone scam that is currently doing the rounds in Aus.

The list of the orgininating numbers I have been keeping since November last year continues to grow as does the comments made on the original post. It doesn’t look like this scam is going to slow down anytime soon. I just hope people are using some common sense and not dialing the 1900 number as instructed to do when returning the call…

Thankyou for the info re; mobile phone scams. I have had this number in missed calls for sometime and not returned the call as I have not recognised the number. Curiosity got the better of me so I put the number in the search engine (0284042296) and found it to be a Spam number.
