New register may cut telemarketing calls
About time something was done to cull the ridiculous number of calls most Australian’s receive from the daft overseas call centers. Without missing a beat we get 2-3 calls a day, with one always just after 6pm. Right when we’re eating dinner!
Now the US has had this in place for some time and looking at the feedback on the Slashdot article it seems to do the trick to reduce the number of spam calls.
The only downside is, no dodgy call centre staff to mess around with and completely confuggle. :P
