I won!

May 17th, 2005 Posted in blog

I don’t believe it, but I just won a VisionPlus HDTV PC Tuner card.

Thanks to Overclockers.com.au and their Folding@Home team who organised the Folding Giveaway6.
Also to the Sponsors of the Competition:

chainbolt, Agg and FFF.

Basically members who fold for team 24 and nominated were eligible to enter the comp. Provided they produce a certain amount of points folding over a 4 week period.

Folding@Home is a distributed computing project which studies protein folding, misfolding, aggregation, and related diseases. You install a small application which uses spare CPU time to simulate the protein folding. The results are sent back for them to use. It helps them process the data a lot quicker and cheaper.
This is a great project and could potentially help cure some diseases.

Overclockers.com.au’s Team (#24) is currently the number one Folding@Home team in the world! So if your keen to fold and help the cause be sure to fold under Team 24!
Interested and want some help getting started? I’d strongly suggest heading over the to Distributed Computing forum over at Overclockers.com.au, they’ll be to happy to help.
